I have returned to the fold
Hi Ray, Jim and Lucy and as my headline says I have returned to the fold. 2009 for us was a very mixed year regarding our lives. My sisters hubby was subjected to radiation etc. for Throte Cancer and then they found in the middle of the year that the cancer had found its way into the pancreas area resulting in a massive operation to remove tumours. Anyway he died in Feb 2010 and is a big loss to our family.
Well how have you all faired in this atrocious winter we have had. It brought back memories of Deneside in 1946 (I think) when the snow was well over my head as I walked to the Deneside Juniors along the tunnels dug out by our dads. Great times in those days with homemade sledges, showballing with stockings for gloves, they were good memories.
Schools never shut so no days off for us bairns
These days it seems that the schools close for any reason and in this political correct environment I suppose that all people in all walks of life have to be very carefull as there is always a solicitor hiding around each corner.
Well nice to talk to you again and I hope that things are still going on. Regards Fred
