My Old Boyfriend

In the 1950s, I went to a Sunday school camp at Staithes and Marske.They was a few of us that got to be friends.One of these was a Seaham lad called David Stephenson and he lived on The Avenue at Deneside.He would now be in his late 60s, I wonder where he is now, altho I did hear some time ago that he still was in Seaham somewhere.Also, My Dad Eric Pike was a Best Man for a couple I think were called Bob and Noni Dichburn, it was at the Catholic Church and around 1950.They emigrated to Australia shortly after, does anyone know if they have family still in Seaham.My Dad and Bob worked for the Prudential in Church Street at that time.Regards to you all from Ann

Anna i have put a picture on of Robin stephenson whos family lived up Deneside,i dont know if his dad was called David or not but there was a few in family,i believe they did live on avenue then moved to bottom end of malvern cres.I think the dad was a tall thing bloke and he wore glasses when i knew him.

I havnt seen David since I was about 12, he was a dark haired lad then, he would be about 68 now.I remember once calling to see him after we had all got back from the Sunday school Camp. Im sure his surname was Stephenson, if not it was Anderson but I think Im right in saying Stephenson.I was once told he lived up in the Seaton area.My Husband has a friend he went to sea with that lives in Seaton, his name is Chris Mileham, maybe I should try and contact him and see if he lnows of David. anna my daughter is getting married to chris mileham and his father has the same name and still lives at seaton.I have a e-mail address for for the chris you will most likely know its his wifes she was the one that told me about my daughter getting married to her son chris.the e-mail adress is Hanabele@aol.com her name is betty mileham my daughters name is kathleen.

Chris Mileham Snr used to go to sea with my husband Ken Hansen about 1965.Someone told me that they thought that the David Stephenson I mentioned earlier, was living somewhere in the area that Chris Mileham was living.
I hope your Daughter is very happy and I send them my Good Wishes. I was telling my husband about the Church St Methodist Church dances that i went to with my Parents when i was about 14 or 15.I know the church has gone but I wonder if any of the members would remember them, they were Eric and Bessie Pike .
