Re: another one gone
Does anyone else realise how much less of life they have ahead of them than in days of yore. I remember as a kid thinking that oldies were another alien race and it would never happen to me. In my youth I tended not to think about it at all and in my middle years retirement was something to work toward and look forward to. Now though with all the ills I tend to be prone too it's not what I expected at all, and as I look around (metaphorically speaking) I realise just how many of my school colleagues and peers have died over the last couple of years. So I raise my glass to those who have gone before and thank God I'm not with them .

Yes Ray we are the oldies now, everyday seems the same you get up take medication do what ever you have to do, shopping ect,no waiting for 6 oclock to go out either to stand on street corner or metting place or even for a drink. When you go into the club or pub now its strange to realise that you are now one of those greyhaired people that not so long ago were your parents ect.getting old can be boring cant it.
